['ʃtœ-], Niklaus, schweizerischer Maler und Grafiker, * Basel 19. 4. 1896, ✝ ebenda 31. 12. 1982; malte Landschaften und Stadtbilder im Stil des magischen Realismus, auch Porträts, Stillleben und Wandbilder. Er gestaltete ferner u. a. Buchillustrationen und Briefmarken und fand v. a. mit Plakatentwürfen internationale Anerkennung.
